JERUSALEM MAIDEN by Talia Carner

Jerusalem Maiden by Talia Carner

5 stars

Turn of the century Jerusalem from the viewpoint of an Orthodox girl

In the world of the Orthodox, in Jerusalem during the early 1900’s, Jerusalem maidens were expected to marry the man their father chose, support their husbands as the men studied the Torah and Scriptures, have many children and pray for the coming of the messiah. But what if one particular Jerusalem Maiden wanted to marry for love, see the world, paint and draw beautiful pictures………..

Talia Carner has written that woman’s story.  A young girl who loves beauty and God, who wants to please her parents, God,  and herself and her longings.  A woman who meets the man who can give her beauty and love, but not God.  A woman married to a man who will give her children and God, but not love or beauty.
